The Nigerian Vetarans Program

The Nigerian Veterans Special Programme identifies and engages distinguished senior citizens, particularly Nigerians aged 80 years and above, who have made meaningful contributions to the country through public service, professional practice, community leadership, business, education, security, religion, culture or humanitarian activities.

The programme recognises that advanced age does not diminish the relevance of experienced citizens to national development. Nigerian Veterans possess institutional memory, historical knowledge, cultural understanding and practical wisdom that remain valuable to current and future generations.

The programme provides a dignified platform through which these veterans continue to contribute ideas, guidance, mentorship, counsel, goodwill and prayers for Nigeria.
